The ‘Three Principles’ offer a means of understanding our psychological processes in a way that provides us internal grounding and independance from becoming victims of our emotions. This creates an internal source of Well-being and resiliency that fuels our recoveries, creativity and sense of confident security.
Freemind is interested in investing in sustained long-term outcomes for individuals and their communities. We believe passionately, that ‘Well-being is not a clinical issue, but a civic one’ and we want to make a real contribution to giving individuals back the ability to know how to protect and maintain their own mental health and well-being, access their potential and create a fundamental shift in the way society supports the development and health of its members.
We believe people have the right to access good information and education about how to protect and maintain their mental / emotional health and well-being. We believe that this information should not be only in the hands of professionals. This disables our ability to take responsibility for our own health and well-being decisions.
We believe that there should be no barriers to accessing this information, which is why we created a means of delivery that does not rely on educational, intellectual, age or faith levels, just a desire to know more.
We believe that the very foundations that educate and proect us, should provide this information through their reach – through schools, workplaces, prisons, treatment centres and places of worship or meeting, free of charge.
We believe communities that know how to adapt, develop and take care of their own members should be communities of the present, not just of the future and we are taking an active role in this realisation, with tremendous support from our communities.
